Caring for the community
that cares for you.

Black Care Matters is a podcast that centers the voice of Black nurses working in the state of Oregon. Racism in the workplace is eroding their well-being and we seek to transform that reality. Our show is a safe space for BIPOC nurses to speak their truth, tell their stories, increase their joy, and problem-solve new interventions to eliminate white supremacy in healthcare.

Advocating for Anti-racism

We invite all those who receive and provide healthcare to prioritize the antiracist principles highlighted throughout the Black Care Matters Podcast. Working together, allied against white supremacy culture, the healthcare world can create a safer space for the entire nursing workforce.

Promoting Wellness

By supporting the wellness of Black nurses, we support the wellness of their entire patient population. If Black lives matter, then the care for those lives must matter as well. How many ways can we approach caring for Black lives? This show seeks to create endless answers to this inspiring and crucial question.
